Twinkle, Twinkle
The girls and I went to visit Dad at his school and the microphone was on in front of the stage. Enough said.
Anna's Haircutting Adventure
I came downstairs last week to find hair everywhere in the house. Anna had gotten hold of a pair of paper scissors from a drawer and cut every...single...hair...on...her...head. Some as little as an inch off, some with only a few centimeters left.
BEFORE:
She cut Caroline's hair, too. Pretty much everything just above the ear. I tried to do Caroline's hair in a french braid yesterday, and the spots where it's just an inch long were really noticeable. I guess we're not going to do a french braid for a while. When it's down, it's really hard to tell, so we didn't have to cut ALL her hair off.
DURING:

AFTER:

Our good friend Mollie is a genius with the scissors. I didn't think there was any hope for Anna's hair when I saw it, but it looks so cute now. She gets compliments from strangers in the store now, which I really cringe at. She does look cute, but I'm worried that she thinks it looks so good because SHE cut it. Both of the kids have been grounded from Webkinz for a week. Take that.

First day of kindergarten
We thought the bus came twenty minutes later than it does in the morning, so we didn't get any pictures of Caroline the morning of her first day of school. Maybe it worked out for the best, since she just had to run out the door to get to the bus in time and didn't have time to worry and be scared of what was coming.
Anna and I waited out on the lawn for the bus to drop Caroline off after school. I finally had the camera, so Anna insisted that I take a pic of her.

Caroline after getting off the bus. She's holding the picture that she colored of "Chester" the raccoon.

Anna and James wanted their pictures taken while Caroline and James's sister Emma got their first-day-of-school pictures taken together. Emma lives across the street from us and is in Caroline's class. They have FOUR kindergarten classes at the elementary school. Emma's mom, Miss Emily (nee Bench), is from Moroni, so it's good for me to have a friend who understands how superior North Sanpete is to South Sanpete.

My Klingon Baby
Caroline's "Poke"
I took Caroline to get her pre-kindergarten shots today. It turned out that our insurance will only cover certain shots if they're administered in the doctor's office, yadda, yadda, yadda, so Caroline could only get one of her many shots at the health department. She was so brave that we went to McDonald's for lunch afterwards.
Sidenote: With a pose like that, don't you think she's the future Miss Gunnison Valley? I'd better get her started on piano lessons...

Days Gone By
Time Out!!!
Sunday Best
I wanted to take a picture of Anna with her cute new scripture case that Jenny and her family gave her for her birthday, and Caroline couldn't resist getting her picture taken, too.

You may note that the bright-green case matches Anna's bright-green-flowered dress perfectly. Coincidence.

Caroline's wearing a dress that Grandma Parnell gave her for when she starts kindergarten next week. We decided it would work as a church dress, too, until she gets too tall.
