My kids' idea of a picnic--Cheerios on Grandma's table.

Monday, August 28, 2006

I wanted to take a picture of Anna after I took one of Caroline's house, but she was sad and tired and every time she looked at me and saw the camera, she buried her head in her lap. I put her down for a nap immediately after taking this picture, and she is much happier now.

This is Caroline's new house. We built it out of a box that Grandma got a chair in. And part of Elliot's badger poster for the roof. She really likes it, but wants Anna to play in it with her, which Anna objects to. I don't know who had more fun making it, Caroline or Mom...

The kids are posing in front of our new Snow College Utah license plate, which due to a paranoid husband, I have cropped off. This is Caroline's first time wearing this t-shirt (of Elliot's) since her birthday. The WARNING! part has always been true, but now the age is, as well.

Anna really loves looking at Grandma's Pepsi. Grandma finally gave her a sip, and although she scrunched up her face and chills went through her little body, she was up two seconds later for another try.

This was Anna's birthday party. She managed to get a lot of icing on her face, the typical one-year-old. Caroline and I confiscated one of her presents and read it in Grandma's rocking chair. It is Caroline's new favorite book--Over in the Meadow.

I was giving Caroline a hug and accidentally clawed her gum. She cried, so I gave her a bandage, and told her to put it wherever she wanted. She put it here on her lip.

Here we are in our Sunday best. Grandma Parnell got the girls these pretty matching dresses. So cute.

Here's our little adventurous Anna. She's always getting herself stuck under the rocking chair and hanging out in her own personal little hot tub. What a sweetie!

This is Caroline's birthday party. She turned three and blew out her candles all by herself, although Audrey and Elliot were standing by just in case. As you can see, I went to great pains to make a fancy cake.

Here are some pictures that Nate sent us from a trip to Kurdistan this week.
